Winemaking
Every task, in the vineyard and in the cellar, is done by hand and semi-organically.

Welcome to Aires de Menetúe
The first wine made in Pucón began as one man’s idea, inside a thermal park in the Trancura Valley.

2014
Eugenio Benavente plants the first Chardonnay and Pinot Noir vines inside the park. Nobody was making wine in Pucón: the cold climate and the volcanic soils of the Andes were, on paper, a challenge.

2017
María Paz Valenzuela takes technical charge. After studying the site she expands the vineyard to one hectare, adds more Chardonnay and brings in Pinot Meunier, the Champagne grape, already thinking of sparkling wines.

2021
Against the climate and the geology, and thanks to frost control with thermal water, the first harvest arrives: 300 bottles of Ilwen, 100% Chardonnay.

2022
Rayén and Newen are born, the first two sparkling wines, made in the traditional method with a second fermentation in the bottle: one 100% Chardonnay and one 100% Pinot Meunier.
Aires de Menetúe
Wines made entirely in Pucón, with minimal intervention. Here the vines are watered by rain, except in very dry summers, when we use natural untreated water. And the frost is held off with thermal water from Menetúe.

100% ChardonnayFirst harvest, 2021
“Dew” in Mapudungun. A fresh, mineral white, naturally clarified and stabilised, unfiltered.
Chardonnay sparklingTraditional method
Blanc de Blancs, 100% Chardonnay, 42 months on the lees. Second fermentation in the bottle, in the Champagne way.
Brut Nature sparklingTraditional method
Blanc de Noirs, 100% Pinot Meunier, 36 months on the lees. A very small release: around 650 bottles.
Available at the Pehuen Restaurant, inside the Menetúe Thermal Park.
Volcanic soil, mountain climate
The only thermal vineyard in the world. Here thermal water irrigates the vines and protects them from frost: that is what makes it possible to grow wine at the foot of the Andes.
Every task, in the vineyard and in the cellar, is done by hand and semi-organically.
We make our wines with as little intervention as possible, so that each one faithfully expresses the place where the vine grows.
Fresh, light wines, low in alcohol (12 to 12.5°) and with crisp acidity: the mineral signature of the volcanic soils of La Araucanía.
An uncommon balance between alcohol and natural acidity, giving these wines an ageing potential that is rare for the region.
Where it grows
The vineyard grows inside a thermal park with thermal pools, cabins, a restaurant and a spa, 30 km from Pucón. Wine and wellbeing in one place.

Six thermal pools, three covered and three open air, set in native surroundings. Open all year round.
Visit the hot springs
Cabins with their own private thermal hot tub, suspended 20 metres above Lake Ancapulli, made for a Wine & Wellness stay.

A restaurant with signature cuisine, the natural way to round off your visit.

The experience
An afternoon at the only thermal vineyard in the world. We pick you up in Pucón and, once inside the Menetúe Thermal Park, you walk the vineyard with our winemaker, María Paz Valenzuela: the vines, the story of the project and the system that irrigates and protects them from frost with thermal water. The tour closes with a paired tasting of our three wines at the Menetúe Wine Bar. And since it all happens inside the park, you can round off your visit in the thermal pools.
What is included
Visits in small groups, arranged on WhatsApp with the park team.
